Leadership

Troop 48 is lead by our Scouts with the aim of achieving Character Development, Leadership Development, Citizenship Training & Personal Fitness. We achieve these aims through the following Scouting Methods:

• Ideals - As exemplified thru the Scout Oath , Scout Law, Scout motto & Scout slogan

• Patrols - Teaching teamwork and organizational skills

• Outdoor Programs - Camping, Hiking, Biking, Rafting and more adventures along with the skills that go along with them

• Advancement - Along the journey to Eagle, Scouts build self-confidence by achieving a series of surmountable goals

• Association with Adults - Trained volunteers serve as positive role models for scouts thru mentoring and guidance

• Personal Growth - As Scouts participate in troop activities and service and progress toward their person goals, they grow mentally, physically and morally stronger.

• Leadership Development - Every Scout has the opportunity to participate in shared and total leadership situations, learning the concepts of leadership, responsibility and service

• Uniform - Shows commitment to the aims and methods of Scouting, fellowship with worldwide brotherhood of youth who believe in the same ideals and allows the Scout to proudly show what they have accomplished thru ranks & badges.
